PE1 2nd Flight 20120513. This is my 2nd flight with my EPP Eagle over Downsview Park. It is also my longest flight ever at 22 minutes mostly gliding on thermal. I had an HK 9 x 6 folder prop on it using an old motor from an HK A5 Icon and an HK 20 A SBEC powered by a Turnigy 1500 3S LiPo. The motor is OK in my opinion but it could also probably perform better with a 4S pack on it. I will keep using the 3S pack to keep the weight down and I will instead try an AXN replacement motor on it on my 3rd flight to see if it will do better in bringing it up to altitude. I am HOOKED ON MY EAGLE. Although I spent most of my life in Canada I have been spending more time to be more Filipino as I age. I thought this would be another step into being in touch with my Filipino Root so I did a little research and came across "Sir Arny" the Philippines Eagle in captivity. It was not hard to decide to dub my bird of prey the "Philippines Eagle 1" in honor of Sir Arny and to proudly fly the Philippines Flag on it over the Canadian skies.
